Life at Cognitive

Training is really important, every one of our employees is encouraged to develop themselves both professionally and personally in order to fulfil their full potential. And we underpin our commitment by investing heavily in training, worth an average of £2317 per person annually.

We have crafted a comprehensive training academy which integrates internal and external training with coaching, career planning and regular performance reviews. We know our training works as it allows us to generate sales 38% higher than the industry average. Our leaders inspire, coach and support our people to achieve their personal and professional aspirations. 43% of our Consultants are on external leadership training – your recruitment career couldn’t be in better hands.

We really value the importance of a work life balance and have tailored our benefits around this, such as Summer Fridays where we finish at 3 pm and we offer flexible working hours.

Women in Recruitment

Women in recruitment Founder Member logo

As founding members of Women in Recruitment, recruiting, developing and actively promoting women within the business is really important. We want to have a balanced management team with a strong and confident female presence. This mindset has created a respectful company culture where the female voice carries equal weight and diversity of opinion is celebrated.

Our commitment to this diversity will result in two female board members within two years, active promotion of females into management roles, and being rated within the top 50 employers of women.

Don’t worry, we’re not a bunch of raging feminists!  Everyone we hire and promote is based purely on their attitude, behaviours, ability and performance.

How we will change your career

‘The ME Programme’

We have developed the ‘Me Programme’ where the focus is put on you, your career and the things that really matter to you. In this programme you will have weekly one to one’s; career and business plans for the year and constant feedback on what’s going well.

The programme is split into four areas:

  • Progress me – Together we will set realistic and achievable promotions targets with the ability to get promoted every six months.
  • Challenge me – We focus on developing your strengths and giving you the confidence to build skills around the things you are really good at.
  • Develop me – We offer an array of training methods that will support your career. We commit to spending £2617 (including bursary) on your training and development annually.
