My client is looking for a D365 CE Solution architect that has preferably come from a development background across the Microsoft space (C#, .net, SQL, Scribe, Kingsway, Azure etc).
You will be joining a team that has grown by over 30 people in the last 18 months just within the CE space and are looking to continue this over the next 12 months. The reason for this role is due to business growth and the need for more top level architects to lead client engagements and design solutions for customers they have already signed as well as a pipeline of projects they are stalling due to need for more resources. As such successful applicants will go straight onto new projects and take key roles with this clients.
They are major brand both in the market, with Microsoft and with clients and their reputation automatically builds relationships with C level stakeholders during the sales cycle meaning influence at the highest level when it comes to scoping, costing and designing a solution and what should, or should not be built. This means that any projects you work on, you will have a high level of autonomy, control and influence on the solution you see best and with board to board sponsors you are supported when it comes to conflict, differences of opinion or unexpected bumps in the road. Whilst this doesn’t guarantee a successful project it goes a long way to making your job easier, smoother and more likely to go to plan.
They work across many sectors, however, have built up a reputation and niche within the banking, insurance and financial services space. It is not expected, nor promised that you will work in these areas but anyone with a strong knowledge in this space or anyone with a particular desire to focus on it could easily create a niche and specialism long term. With the evolution of the Microsoft technology stack meaning projects are bigger, more complex and clients more demanding the banking space is both lucrative and has budgets that will always require the latest technology to improve customer engagement. Therefore this client is able to support career development and market value above and beyond standard annual appraisals and paid certifications which would be seen as an basic benefit rather than a special extra at this client.
Reputation means a lot and this client are regarded by Microsoft as the disruptors, or game changers trying to bring a bit of credibility at the top end of the market. This may be contentious but the are challenges across the Microsoft space around how projects are sold, designed and delivered and how clients are managed through an implementation. With the growth plans at this client along with their financial backing and support from Microsoft you have the chance to be architecting the biggest and most complex solutions in the years to come. With this comes an expectation of quality and skill but they are also aware that it is about building peoples careers to a higher level to get them to the top. As such if you are already there or heading that way, this could be a place for you.
